It's sad but true: many home accidental deaths are caused by an older sibling. A considerate 4-year-old shares her candy with her baby brother, who then chokes and dies. A second-grader runs out the door in a hurry for his friends house, but forgets to shut it all the way. His 2-year-old sibling, wanting to do what big-bro does, chases him outside. He is struck by a car and killed. In many other situations, an older sibling will be present when an accident is occurring, and might have been able to prevent it. This book teaches kids old and young alike, how to be extra eyes and ears for safety when it comes to their younger counterparts. Let's face it, parenting is a big job, and it only takes a second for an accident to occur. The more eyes and ears you have trained on what to watch out for, the better. Even young children can be lifesavers if you teach them how. Suggested ages: 4-11
